Munich Armchair
|Designed by Sauerbruch Hutton in 2011; - Modern art of the 20th and 21st centuries deserves an appropriate setting, with a building and its furniture that is just as modern. Berlin architects Sauerbruch Hutton were thus faced with an exciting challenge when asked to design the Museum Brandhorst in Munich. Three different seating solutions were developed for the museum that opened in 2009 – for the cafeteria, the foyer, the conference and lecture rooms as well as the lounge. ClassiCon developed the designs to the point of series production in close collaboration with the architects. Along with demanding expectations in terms of form and quality, the typical wear and tear that the furniture would be subjected to in the public space had also to be taken into consideration. Its durability was ensured by means of various tests. Base of solid wood. Frame of steel tubing (with rubber webbing). Upholstery: Polyurethane with polyester fibre. Cover in fabric or leather. Details, colours and European standard tests see price list.

Sandö Armchair
|The basic idea behind Sandö was to create a chair with simple, harmonious and self-evident shapes, constructed in accordance with furniture-making criteria. A chair that is resilient and well-proportioned without being fussy, thus making it suitable for a number of environments. A chair that is comfortable to sit on and attractive to look at. Sandö has distinct lines, but still feels smooth to the touch as all edges are rounded in a special way. This rounding also contributes to light falling around the contours of the chair, thus showing it to full advantage. Corner blocks in the seat and fixed, grooved pins in the legs and back make Sandö a stable and durable chair. Upholstered seat with nailed or removable upholstery. Calico or rubberised fabric. Washable at 60°C. Can be equipped with glide wheels. Sandö is also available as a chair. Supplied ready-assembled. Available in natural lacquer, oil or stain. Design: Marit Stigsdotter.

Unusually comfortable and ergonomic, it takes weight of the pelvic bones and supports the small of the back. In 2008 Boo O48 was awarded with the Swedish design award, Design S. Bop Armchair
|The chair Bop is developed by Offecct in collaboration with Norwegian design bureau Knudsen Berg Hindenes. Originally, Bop was designed for USF Verftet, an arts arena for music, theater, film and modern art in Bergen, Norway. Bop has been further developed and is now available with arm rests and also as a bar stool. Bop lives up to the high standards of comfort, durability and adaptability required of a concert chair, but fits perfectly well in other interiors as well. ”When we were redoing the cultural center and creating a larger concert hall we wanted a new concert chair. The development has been a close process between us here at the cultural center, the designers and Offecct”, says Jon Tvilde, head of the cultural center.

BOOMERANG CHILL ARMCHAIR 003.631.H
|Although Scandinavian in style, the Boomerang is based on the Australian aboriginal implement of the same name, a shape that forms the backbone of the design. The range started with a single chair and a single premise: to design a product that was both ergonomic and aesthetic, with easy access for those with mobility problems. Quim Larrea and his team took the brief and started to puzzle over exactly what shape of arm could manage all of this and still be exceptionally strong. They found their inspiration in the boomerang, the shape that lends its name to the programme. This pure, simple form has been meticulously machined to obtain exactly the right curves, its wax-like finish reminiscent of classic Nordic design. The chair was an instant hit and lower, wider chairs were added, the Boomerang Chill, to accommodate the needs of the general public. The chair went beyond being a bestseller and was critically acclaimed, becoming a finalist for the Delta Awards and selected for Designpreis of Germany.

Leksand, backed bench
|The classical Leksand chair, which traces its origins back to the 18th century, provided the inspiration for this elegant backed bench and generous armchair. Both products are designed with seat heights and armrests optimised for use by individuals who may be less able. Made from FSC-certified cumarowood with metal parts crafted from sand-casted aluminium, the furniture is unrivalled in quality. As a result, Leksand is robust enough to withstand harsh winters, enabling the products to remain outdoors all year round. Design: Tema.

KAMÓN DINNER - Seating 1300x656
|In the second year of her course at Konstfack, the University College of Arts, Crafts and Design in Stockholm, Moni Beuchel was given the task of designing a piece of furniture for a selected furniture manufacturer. After careful consideration she designed a sofa to suit Karl Andersson & Söner. By chance, we got to see the model and contacted a pleasantly surprised Moni. After some adaptation, the result was Kamón Lounge (2001) armchair, sofa and bench in different lengths. 16 years later, Kamon Dinner (2017) has now been developed. Kamón Dinner is a sofa that offers a more upright sitting position and is suitable to use with tables ranging in height from 720-740 mm. The seat and back cushions are covered entirely in fabric or leather with no visible wood. The filling is polyether. Kamón Dinner also contains a corner unit that can be connected to the sofas. There is the option of having linking devices between sofas and between sofas and corner units. Power connectors can also be positioned near the legs on the front edge under the seat.
